If you knew me in high school you probably would have thought I bled blue and white. I played basketball and softball for the Angels and my voice was always hoarse after my games from cheering so much. I wore my plaid school skirt (proper length of course;-)) with pride and I still am close friends with the girls I was friends with there.
I even have a deep adversity to our biggest rival and tend to get all sorts of cranky when I hear about them beating our girls for the umpteenth time. I guess I’ll always feel that way having been a student here and now being the Admissions Director.
I’ve definitely changed a lot in that time, replacing basketballs with knitting needles and bats with lots of yarn. I laugh because those that knew me as a basketball player could never see me as a knitter. Not to mention those who know me as a knitter have a really hard time imagining me shooting 3 pointers. What hasn’t changed is the love and pride I have for my alma mater and always trying to make it better with whatever I can do to contribute.
A few squares here and a few stitches there…
Blanket made by myself and 4 other staff members and teachers for our school’s biggest fundraiser which will be this Saturday. This will go to the highest bidder (who knows maybe me!).
Pattern was adapted from the Warm Up America Afghan Pattern.
Yarn: Cascade 220 Superwash in blues and cream
GO ANGELS!
Lovely. Your photography is always a treat. I like that my eye wanders over the blanket to discover each stitch pattern, and tries to find a favorite. Very lovely.

it is amazing, M!! I love it!
…and I actually had to stop and think about my high school colors. I am not 100% sure, but I think it was green and white… then again, I went to two different high schools, so I definitely cannot remember the first one 🙂 anyway, this is beautiful!
